Flash memory

A nonvolatile storage chip that enables easy electrical data storage, erasability and reprogramming. Traditionally flash memory often was used to remotely update routers or modems with new versions of software. Today flash memory is used in multiple devices, including memory sticks, camera or voice recorders and computer games.
